HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT 

Certification Program

The Hospitality & Tourism Management Certification Program introduces the dynamic world of hospitality, lodging, travel, and events. Participants gain essential knowledge of business fundamentals, operational systems, and service excellence that drive success in today’s experience-driven economy.
 

This six-month accelerated pathway provides both academic mastery and industry certification, preparing students for direct entry into the workforce or continued study at the college level.

​The industry is one of the largest employers in the United States — representing more than 1.4 million jobs in Texas alone — and offers diverse career opportunities across four major sectors:

 

  • Food & Beverage: Restaurants, catering, and culinary management
     

  • Lodging: Hotels, resorts, and guest services
     

  • Travel & Tourism: Airlines, cruise lines, tour operations, and destination management
     

  • Entertainment & Events: Meeting planning, conventions, festivals, and sports tourism

Course Details:

Format: In-Person            Length: 6 Months           Duration: 24 weeks (6 months).       ⏱ Total Hours: ~192 hours
