Construction is officially underway on Plano’s newest luxury destination, the $117.5 million Miyako Hybrid Hotel. Developed by Japan’s Kintetsu Group Holdings Co., Ltd., the 12-story, 217-room boutique property will bring Japanese elegance, service and design to North Texas when it opens in fall 2027.

The project marks the first Miyako Hotels & Resorts location in Texas and only the third in the United States, joining sister properties in Los Angeles and Torrance, California. It will be built on a portion of the former JCPenney corporate campus, which Kintetsu acquired in 2019, within The Park at Legacy, Plano’s bustling business and entertainment district surrounded by major employers like Toyota Motor North America and dozens of Japanese companies.
